2015.3.31

Wind medium onshore. Waves in the chest to head high range and looking smooth despite the white caps out back. Tide dropping down to a low of 0.6ft @ 16:00. Tide is high right now but waves in the water all day and looking it's best right now I'd guess.

2015.3.30

Wind is light offshore. Waves easily going head high to overhead all day today, probably head and a half on the bigger sets. Yesterday we saw upwards of double overhead faces in the middle of the beach and it was clean. Wind is forecast to go onshore today but it was also forecast yesterday and it miraculously stayed pretty calm/light cross/offshore all day. The big SW swell that made for such a potent combo yesterday seems to have faded a bit but far from entirely. Practice caution today; know your limits.

2015.3.29

Wind light onshore. Waves in the chest to head high range & occasionally overhead; looking to stay that way all day. Looks like more of the same we had yesterday with solid WNW swell & SW background offering up lots of wonky but fun waves all day. Wind will go heavy later in the day making things much more difficult to navigate. Little rip by the rocks if pushing hard into the rocks on the right side of the beach so avoid surfing there if you don't feel like getting pinched today. Intermediate-Advanced level surf today; beginners advised to bodysurf in the middle if you need to get in the water.

2015.3.28

Wind light offshore. Conditions clean. Looks like it's actually working pretty good despite the high tide. Pretty wonky (don't think that'll change today) but light to no surface chop with waves in the chest high range easily going head high on better sets. Should only get better with the dropping tide until it bottoms out @ 0.5ft @ 13:00 today. Be weary of the slop that the afternoon onshore onslaught will bring but be happy there are plenty of waves to share today!

2015.3.27

Wind is ONshore. Waves look waist high and breaking far enough off to be worth coming out for. Low tide of 0.4ft @ 12:34...! Look for waves to stay consistently waist to chest, possibly going upwards of head high into the afternoon as the wind picks up and gets things feeling sloppy. There should be surf-able surfaces out there all day so come and get em if you need em!

2015.3.26

Wind light offshore. Waves in the thigh to waist zone and looking shorebreaky. Swell is definitely dropped off a bit from earlier in the week but with a consistent pulse of West and a little SW to combo waves should stay at least waist high all day. Look for best waves a few hours on ether side of the low tide around noon.

The wind is decidedly unsure about itself but the lineup sure is clean. Some rescue personnel doing some kind of draining and blocking the middle peak but there are some shapely rights coming off the right side with this nice -0.2ft low we're having now. Tide rising into the afternoon but should be some fun waves until at least 13-14:00. Wind forecast heavy onshore in the afternoon.

Wind light offshore. Rain. Nice double rainbow. Waves in the thigh to waist range and looking fun and relatively consistent. low of -0.3ft @ 8:20 has it nice and drained for the morning session. High tide of 5.5ft @ 15:00 will have it flooded all afternoon keeping things pretty shorebreaky. Wind is also forecast onshore all day. Come out now if you can or keep your chips saved away for this weekends forecast south.

Wind light onshore. Waves in the thigh to waist high zone and looking pretty sloppy this morning. Avoid the high high tide of 5.8 ft @ 14:00 by ~3 hours and you'll more than likely find some wonky waves today. Just passed the first low and the next is this evening -- 0.9ft @ 19:30.

Wind light offshore @ 8:00. Waves in the waist high zone going chest high on the best sets. Lots of fun small shoulders with a combo W & SW working this morning. Wind forecast onshore all day and waves are to stay steady. Big high tide of 6.2ft @ 13:00 will have it drowned out for ~2-3 hours on each side so if you didn't get here already for the morning session you might be best of waiting for the evening despite the onshore breeze. Low of 0.4ft @ 18:50.

Wind light onshore around 8:30. Waves in the thigh to waist zone, very occasionally going chest high and just about exclusively shorebreak. Should be OK on the tide drop in the mid-late afternoon. Don't expect easy or clean conditions and there'll be some fun waves to be had. Low of 0 ft @ 18:00.

2015.3.19

Wind light offshore @ 7:15. Things are working albeit barley with the high tide coming up. If you aren't already on it you probably missed the window for the morning session. Big high tide of 6.5ft @ 11:15 will have it drowned out until the early-mid afternoon when it starts moving towards the -0.2ft low @ 17:20. Wind is forecast onshore all day but if yesterday is any indicator there will be some gem like moments between long intervals of slop.

2015.3.18

Wind light offshore @ 7:30 when I checked it. Waves in the waist high zone and almost exclusively shorebreak. High tide of 6.5ft @ 10:20 may mark the worst of it in terms of surfable ocean surface but could get fun quickly with the tide coming down with & a fairly large wind swell building in through this evening. I would expect waves to go anywhere from waits to head high getting progressively bigger & sloppier as the day rolls on. Low tide of -0.4 @ 16:40.

Wind light onshore. Waves knee to thigh and not breaking beyond the shoreline. Sad to day the wind is only going to pick up and the waves won't be doing the same. Not a good day to do more than jump in the water and swim around for a bit. No surfable waves today; lots of birds on the rock though.

Wind light onshore but not much surface bump to show for it yet. Waves in the waist to chest high zone and looking squishy but fun. Tide dropping through the 0.1ft low @ 14:10 should keep the waves fun most of today despite the onshore flow. Looks like a nice W swell combo with a little SW thats bringing lines through. Wind if forecast to pick up and turn more straight onshore as the day progresses.

2015.3.14

Wind is light offshore and the waves in the thigh to waist zone and mostly breaking on the ground at this point. The little west that brought so many fun waves in yesterday has all but faded away and been replaces by a much smaller but still significant SW swell that will likely keep things fun through the morning and into the likely crowded afternoon. We've got a 0.4ft low @ 13:10 and light offshore forecast all day.

Wind light offshore. Waves in the waist to possibly chest high range and a medium-low consistency, much lower on bigger sets. Still mostly breaking into the ground but there are waves! Looking squishy with the tide as high as it is so unless you've got something fun or long to ride the best bet is wait until the 0.6 ft low around noon and try it sometime on the push. Wind is forecast to go medium onshore in the afternoon.

Wind offshore. Waves around waist high shorebreak and looking clean if they'd only break a bit further out. Swell if forecast to build a bit throughout the day so we should be looking at something surfable by a hour or two before low tide - 0.8ft @ 10:55. Wind is to turn medium-heavy onshore in the early afternoon so get it while it's clean if you can.

2015.3.11

AFTERNOON UPDATE: Nary a wind wave to behold this afternoon. Looks like the WSW combo has yet to really pick up but keep your eyes on the buoy and expect there to be some small little lines by this time tomorrow at the latest. With luck we'll have some bonafide surfable ocean action happening.

Too dark to take pics before work this morning. Wind is likely offshore and it likely just looks like it did yesterday. Look for small WSW swell to build in today possibly offering some fun little ones in the early afternoon before the tide gets too high -- 4.5ft @ 16:30. It might get big enough for some sloppy lines wind waves with the high. Actual report to come on my lunch break. around 14:00

2015.3.9

Another day of close to no waves. Wind is light onshore. Waves in the shin to thigh high range and mostly shorebreak but still a couple breaking a bit further out. Overall cleanish conditions with only a bit of bump on the water. Tide come to a 5 ft high around 14:30 so avoid it for about 3 hours on each side and bring LOTS of volume if you want to get a wave today. Keep your fingers crossed for some forecast west swell later in the work week.

Shin high shorebreak is all we really have to look at this morning. Might be a line or two later towards the late low tide but if you really want waves you're probably better off going to OB or pacifica and riding the wind slop or waiting until we get more swell which by the looks of it might be a few days...

2015.3.7

Wind light offshore. Waves in the thigh to waist high zone maybe going chest high on the biggest sets at an inconsistent frequency on all sets. Looks like it's on the way to shorebreak pretty quick and if you haven't already god your board in the car might be best to wait until the early evening low of 1ft @ 18:10. I wouldn't expect much more than shorebreak before four o'clock. Wind is forecast to go onshore fairly strong in the early afternoon.

Wind offshore and light. Waves in the waist to chest high range going up to head high and a tad overhead on the very best sets which are at medium to low frequency. It's feeling a little shore breaky overall with the high tide coming up but there are definitely some inside nuggets still to be found. Overall difficult conditions. The 5 & 1/2 ft high tide around 11:30 is gonna drown it and it won't get better until around 13:00-14:00 going into the low of 0.7 @ 17:40. Wind is forecast to go onshore/cross in the early afternoon.

2015.3.5

Wind medium/light offshore. Forecast to keep that way all day. Only had 5 minutes to watch it this morning and suspect it was just a little lull but waves were still in the chest high zone. Suspect there are still head high to overhead sets rolling through at lesser consistency. Low tide of 0.5ft @ 17:10 this evening should bring lots and lots of fun waves as it did yesterday. Intermediate level surfers best off coming earlier on as low tide will bring more difficult conditions. my guess is that there will be fun lines all day excluding an hour on ether side of the high late this morning @ 11:00.
