I'm happy to say that a buddy of mine has offered to take up the reports in my stead and will be updating as he can, as will I when I'm around. Keep it stoked y'all and thanks for tuning in.

UPDATE:Waves were peaking in the chest-head high range today with power fading fast into the afternoon of wind-bowls. It was choppy and sloppy for sure but with a fun little evening glass off. Tomorrow likely holds only small stuff(thigh-waist occ. chest high) early on with some longer period SW potentially building in for an inconsistent appearance of juicy little walls later in the afternoon/evening. NPR said windy late tonight which could make for a bumpy morning.

Can't get out to check it until the afternoon but expect onshore wind with a bumpy surface & waves up to overhead with juice.

Afternoon update: Sunny skies and small lines with lots of wind chop on top for your evening session:

Wind medium onshore. Waves in the shin to thigh high range. Looks sloppy and will stay that way all day. Should be more fun on the low tide later but don't expect miracles. Forecast calls for new NW showing up throughout today but only time (& the buoy) will tell.

Forecast outlook: New WNW swell is supposed to show up through the day and hold for the next two or so days but being the first "long period" NW of the year it'll & considering the fact I haven't spent much time here the last three months I'm reluctant to predict too many details; I'd say keep your fingers crossed and your boards ready and stay tuned.

2015.8.25

AFTERNOON UPDATE: Picked up a tiny bit with the lower tide, heavy onshore flow and shin high lines to be had:

Grey morning with a nearly still ocean. Wind is medium speed onshore and waves in the ankle range. As per popular request I'm starting out with a short video today as opposed to a bunch of grainy photos. We'll see how it works; I've got limited bandwidth out here so it may take a week or so to work out the kinks.

Looks like there isn't much on tap for today really but there should be a nice little WNW swell building in Wednesday-Thursday that should produce some inconsistent but fun lines here.

2015.8.10

Reports to resume at the end of this month for a limited time. Hard to say how long I'll stick around but I should be here last week of August - end of September at least.

While you're impatiently waiting for me to get back to the beach so you can try to figure out what this dang finicky wave is going to do for your session tomorrow

please

take this 3 question survey to help me make CronReport better.

2015.6.6

Grey day with small waves. No photos today. I've been putting it off but it's time I told y'all that for the time being I'm indefinitely suspending my reports. Taking the summer off for some much needed vacation time. There is maybe a 50/50 chance I'll be back by early August so check back then. In the meantime keep it positive and stay stoked! It's been killer to have a reason to get to the beach every day and I really appreciated all the positive encouragement I got along the way.

2015.6.4

No photos today. Wind onshore. Waves in the chest to head high+ range. SW showed up and it pumping. Lots of sand makes for shallow nugs and lots of fun fast lines if you can get into em early.

2015.6.3

Wind onshore. Waves in the waist high range mostly. Big NW wind forecast to blow it out all afternoon. Solid SW swell definitely in the water but with medium-low consistency at best at this point.

2015.6.2

Wind onshore. Waves in the waist high zone going chest high on better sets. All around slop. There should be enough swell to hold it most of the way through the high but best to avoid it by ~1 hr on each side. SW forecast to build in tonight for more juice tomorrow.

2015.6.1

Wind onshore. Waves in the waist high region, inconsistent and sloppy. Looks like an alright day for a long board towards the low in the afternoon but I wouldn't expect conditions to clean up any.

2015.5.28

Waves waist to chest and squishy with the high tide. Wind onshore. Looking worse for shape than yesterday.SW supposed to be increasing but by the looks of it the new swell doesn't have the consistency of the last one. That could change quickly but that's the look for now.

2015.5.27

Wind onshore. Waves in the chest to head high range and with juice. Holding open for the fading SW sets and gonna get juicier and likely more closed as the tide drops and a new longer period SW builds in through the day. Smallest/cleanest waves right now.

2015.5.26

Wind onshore. Waves in the waist to chest high zone going head high on biggest sets. Mostly looking crumbly and closed but a fair few little gems (mostly waist to chest high) leaving enough of an opening for some fast down the line action. Solid SW swell working today; likely funnest after the tide bottoms out and turns around but looks like there are waves on tap all day.

2015.5.23

Wind onshore. Waves in the shin to thigh high range at the moment. Looks like it's going to be a small one regardless but could be some consistently fun surf through the low and even towards the high if enough SW swell builds in (pretty unlikely). Keep your eyes on the buoy and cross reference the forecast and you might just find the next week will put out a lot a bit better than the previous.

Wind onshore. Waves in the thigh to waist high range and looking dinker-squish but fun. Long board morning for sure. Fun waves for the early birds and really anyone who can get here before noon. Increasing likelihood of it getting drowned by the high tide any time after 13:00

2015.5.21

Wind light onshore. Waves in the thigh range mostly going waist high on the best sets. Looks small but clean with the low tide this morning. Good long boarding waves as Cron is capable of producing. Avoid the 5.1ft high @ 15:40 by at least ~2 hours on each side as there isn't enough swell for it.

Wind onshore. Waves in the waist high range looking consistent and fun. High tide of 5.1 @ 14:50 will have it drowned out a bit but avoid that by ~ an hour and bring proper volume and there might be some fun ones out there for you.

2015.5.15

Wind onshore. Waves in the chest to head high range, likely going overhead on best sets. Looking pretty good and lined up on the tide push this morning. Best shape in the mid tide on the push so avoid this mornings 10:15 high by ~ 1-2 hours for best shape. Wind is forecast to pick up heavy onshore this afternoon.

Wind medium onshore. Waves in the thigh to waist range looking sloppy closed out and gutless. The low 0ft low @ 12:00 isn't helping much but the high tide won't ether; likely more juice on the push though. SW swell could possibly pick up a bit and build in consistency throughout the day but could just as likely do nothing. Keep your eye on the buoy.

Wind medium onshore. Waves in the thigh to waist high zone. Looks like closed out drible to be honest. Low tide isn't helping the size but I doubt that the push tide will help it much ether. Best bet, do something nice for any moms in you life today and cross your fingers for more swell and less wind later in the week. GOOD DAY for beginners to bring a long board out and push into some white water though.
