2015.4.30

Wind light onshore. Waves in the waist to chest high zone. Wonky and bumpy and dumpy coming up on the low-high tide of 4.5ft @ 10:10. Could be fun all through the afternoon as size drops with the tide. A little more volume is probably better today as what swell remains isn't as juicy as it looks. Wind is forecast lighter for today. Keep your eyes on the forecast; some sexy south might be coming our way Sunday.

2015.4.29

Wind light onshore. Waves in the waist to chest high zone going head high at a fair amount of frequency. New wind swell built in last night for some wonky and bumpy but fun looking waves this morning. Wind is forecast to pick up pretty heavy into the afternoon. Low tide of 1 ft ~ 15:10. Best bet for cleanest surf is getting here ASAP.

2015.4.28

Wind very light. Waves in the shin to thigh range going waist high on best sets. Tide is too high for any fun right now but if things look like yesterday it'll be kind of closed out but fun longboarding towards the low tide around 14:30.

The tide is too damn high for waves this morning. Wind light to none. Waves in the shin to thigh range. Might be some little long board waves towards the low ~ 13:40.

2015.4.26

Wind light offshore. Waves in the knee to thigh + zone going waist high on better sets. Looks bumpy and wonky despite the offshore wind and I wouldn't expect the favorable wind to last. Low tide is ~12:45 and will keep it from being drowned at all today but will also keep the size small. Wind is forecast to go heavy onshore as the day progresses. Earliest is best for cleaner conditions.

2015.4.24

Wind steady onshore. Waves in the knee to waist zone and looking really choppy. Doesn't look like there'll be much umph out there today. Not a bad morning for a beginner to come out and practice pop ups.

2015.4.23

Wind light onshore. Waves mostly about waist high going chest + on better sets. Will fill in with a little SW as the tide comes up but the NW swell is fading throughout the day. Big onshore wind forecast for the afternoon.

2015.4.22

Wind is onshore and light out of the SW. Waves anywhere from waist to chest and even head high + on stand out sets. Looking generally inconsistent but the horsetails out at the potato patch tell us the swell is really here and will fill in and get bigger with the tide. Low of -0.7ft @ 8:50. Give it a good look from the parking lot and be weary of the currents today, they'll be ripping hard.

2015.4.21

Wind onshore. Waves in the waist to chest high zone and moderately consistent. Looks fun coming off the deep -1ft low around 8:00. Sloppy stuff in general but something to ride if you don't mind the bite of the wind and slop of the chop. Little SW swell forecast to fade through today and be replaced by a big NW overnight.

2015.4.20

Wind onshore out of the SW. Waves are a little choppy but we have a nice little SSW swell throwing some waist high lines coming off the negative low this morning. 5.4ft tide @ 14:00 means don't surf from 13-15 if you want more than squish and shorebreak.

2015.4.19

Wind light onshore. Waves knee to thigh high. Little south should pick up a tiny bit with the tide coming in this morning. Probably wont get any sun till a bit later and conditions likely sloppy & small all day. Avoid high tide by ~ 1.5 hours on each side.

2015.4.18

Wind light onshore. Waves in the waist to chest zone and lining up pretty well with the low tide. Looks like this storm shifted around and created some nice new bars for us. Overall the shape is a bit sloppy but it looks fun for the early morning session at least; maybe avoid the 5.7 high tide around noon by ~ 1 hour if you can.

2015.4.17

Wind light offshore. Waves in the chest to head/overhead range likely/occasionally going upwards of head and a half. KNOW YOUR LIMITS; despite any lulls there are some seriously powerful waves out there today. Looks about 50% closed out but lots of makable waves out there.

2015.4.16

Wind medium steady offshore. Waves in the thigh to chest high range and generally inconsistent. Looking really fun and clean for a higher volume board on the outside sets. If the wind stays offshore a bit into the afternoon it could get really fun for a while as the tide drops. High of 5.7ft @ 10:15 this morning. Look for possible LONG period swell to build in in the evening towards sunset; know you limits, its forecast to be a big fast rising swell.

2015.4.13

Medium-heavy onshore. Waves in the thigh to waist range. Things are probably looking as clean as they will all day as the chop will surely pick up and get nasty with the wind blowing as steady as it is. 0.1ft low @ 14:00.

2015.4.11

Wind light onshore. Waves in the thigh to waist zone and coming in at moderate consistency. Wind is supposed to pick up heave sometime a little after the tide turns at the 0.1ft 11:20 low. Look for best shape right now with things getting a bit more power on the tide push but with significantly more disorganization. Funboard or a phish would be a good choice for today.

2015.4.10

Wind light offshore. Waves likely in the thigh to waist range going a little over that on the better sets, especially after the tide turns around. I'd expect very similar conditions to yesterday. South swell showing best 2 hours before/after the 10:20 0ft low this morning.

Wind offshore. Waves shin to thigh. Looking small but open and playful and conjuring up memories of summer in san diego for me right now. Bring a log 7+ft and get out here before the tide gets too high (around noon) Low of 0ft @ 9:20.

2015.4.8

Wind light offshore. Waves in the thigh to waist range probably going chest high at medium-low consistency. Looking wonky like yesterday but the suns out and the offshore wind does appear to be helping things a bit. Look for best conditions now with the log of choice being a long one and things to get drowned out at the tide comes up towards the 15:30 4.5ft high this afternoon.

Wind light onshore. Waves small knee to thigh high but looking fun coming off the morning low. High tide of 4.9ft @ 13:50 will have it drowned for at least ~3 hours on each side but if you zip out here now with an appropriate log you might snag a couple little good ones.

Wind light offshore. Waves dinker shin to thigh high lines but look like fun for a long board. Wouldn't expect lines to get any bigger today but definitely to get sloppier as the day goes on and the wind picks up. Avoid the 5ft high @ 13:05 by ~2.5 hrs on each side and bring a log and you'll find some baby waves today.

Light offshore, waist high. Early birds getting it good today. Nice little lines coming in off the 0.8ft 5:45 low. High of 5.3ft around noon will have it drowned pretty well from 10-14:00; cleaner surf in the morning, but still some fun little lines if you can scavenge in the afternoon.

2015.4.2

Wind light offshore and things are looking a little squish-squish this morning. Waves seemingly peaking in the waist-belly high range and high tide of 5.3ft @ 11:00 seems to have it well and drowned already. Look for more walls but less shape into the afternoon as the tide drops and the wind comes onshore. Maybe some fun longboard lines in the afternoon later but nothing to write home about. Low of 0.9ft @ 17:05.
