2015.8.31

Wind light offshore. Waves in the chest to head high range and looking really tricky. Fun for advanced level surfers looking for a challenge. Wind is forecast to get really heavy but there are sure to be nice lulls in the breeze in the afternoon for a window to catch a wave or two. Lots of chop on top and some funky backwash will be the name of the game this afternoon.

2015.8.30

Wind medium onshore. Waves in the chest to head high range with standout sets likely going higher. Low tide of this morning has it spitting hollower lines while higher tide later will bring friendlier faces with more size (we hope). In any case its ornery looking out there; intermediate surfers will have a hard but likely fun time and BEGINNERS BE CAREFUL; know your limits

2015.8.29

Wind medium-heavon onshore. Waves in the waist to chest range, possibly going head high on the best sets and looking lumpy and fast. Good day to bring out your quad and see just how fast you can go. WSW swell on the buoy will produce fun waves throughout the day with improbable but possible little windows of less wind. Today and tomorrow are thus far looking like the best biggest days this week relative to the forecast.

2015.8.28

Wind medium-light off/cross shore from the NNE. Waves in the thigh to waist high zone with best (inconsistent) sets going chest high. Closed with the low tide but should improve significantly with the rising tide and be fun on the push this morning and this evening.

Forecast: W + SW swell forecast to come up to around 1.5ft @ 16 sec today and hold the weekend. Should be fun little bit of bump in the water.

2015.8.27

Wind light offshore. Waves in the thigh to waist high range and looking mostly closed out. It'll likely get funky-chunky-dumpy in the middle of the day with higher tides then get fun on the afternoon low with better size later as it does.

Forecast outlook: Hard to determine if this NW will really throw anything more than the occasional waist high line at us but there is for sure some nice SW on the radar for this weekend. tomorrow is sure to have fun waves at some point or another and Sat/Sun are looking likely to be refreshing for anyone wave-deprived as well.

2015.8.26

Afternoon update: Sunny skies and small lines with lots of wind chop on top for your evening session:

Wind medium onshore. Waves in the shin to thigh high range. Looks sloppy and will stay that way all day. Should be more fun on the low tide later but don't expect miracles. Forecast calls for new NW showing up throughout today but only time (& the buoy) will tell.

Forecast outlook: New WNW swell is supposed to show up through the day and hold for the next two or so days but being the first "long period" NW of the year it'll & considering the fact I haven't spent much time here the last three months I'm reluctant to predict too many details; I'd say keep your fingers crossed and your boards ready and stay tuned.

2015.8.25

AFTERNOON UPDATE: Picked up a tiny bit with the lower tide, heavy onshore flow and shin high lines to be had:

Grey morning with a nearly still ocean. Wind is medium speed onshore and waves in the ankle range. As per popular request I'm starting out with a short video today as opposed to a bunch of grainy photos. We'll see how it works; I've got limited bandwidth out here so it may take a week or so to work out the kinks.

Looks like there isn't much on tap for today really but there should be a nice little WNW swell building in Wednesday-Thursday that should produce some inconsistent but fun lines here.
