No pictures today people; I'd take em if I was there. Check the links below for weather and tides. Based on the buoy readings I'd expect it to be sais high chop and slop with the occasional slightly larger wave that might get mor pop just before dark if tomorrow's swell shows up a bit early.

More small stuff today. Very light offshore winds with thigh to waist high waves at medium consistency making their way through. It's clear now but it's the last day of that for a few so grab your log and come down for a couple lines. We've got significant storm and swell on the horizon. 2.86ft low @ 11 is the best bet today so et here if you can and don't expect too much if you can't until closer to high tide.

Small and clean. Medium-light offshore winds. Lines going thigh to waist high with some fun looking corners. Little SW swell is putting out. Long board or hybrid are the best bet. Low tide of 3ft @ 9:40 followed by a 5.7ft high @ 15:40 that you'll want to avoid. Pictures coming soon. Forgot my camera on the first trip down to the beach but I'll bring some back after I surf.

Small, sunny, and light offshore today. Low tide of 2.87 @ 8:30 is staving off the shorebreak but come and get it while it's good. Looks like medium-low frequency long boarding corners out there. most waves thigh to waist high and taper to nothing fast. It's clean right now but wind will probably pick up and bury the little lines in chop. Definitely avoid the 14:40 6ft high tide.

Small sunny and offshore this morning. Most waves running with moderate consistency in the waist high zone with very occasional chest high sets packing a bit more pop. Waves looking good coming off the 2.7ft low @ 7:40 but will be washed out shorebreak by the 13:50 6.15ft high. It'll get better towards sunset with the -0.4ft low at 20:30 but probably be small enough to really need an extra volume vessel at that point. Best bet is longboard or hybrid today. Might have some fun on a fish in the next hour or three but otherwise it's small potatoes.

LATE AFTERNOON UPDATE: looking chunky and dumpy but wind is cross/offshore and the size is down to a manageable chest-head high. Come and get some if you need to get your fix!

Pictures delayed until the afternoon folks, sorry. Expect it to be big (head and a half +) and ornery/stirred up + gnarly out there this morning. Sky is sunny and wind light but it won't be much help. The swell is dropping fast but it was real real big yesterday evening and hasn't gotten it's fade on just yet.

Wet morning with medium-light onshore wind. Skies look like they'll clear up for a time then get gnarly again. Waves in the waist to chest to head high range (hard to tell with no one in it) and very consistent with a lot of push coming off the 6:15 2.12ft low this morning. 12:30 6.3ft High tide will soften it up and make things less menacing but the -0.36ft low at 19:00 will do the opposite.

Clear skies and light offshore wins @ 7:30. Looks like some fun waist to chest high waves on tap this morning with pretty high consistency. Also looks a little hard to get into (wonky and relatively closed out) but there are some shoulders holing open that look real fun. First low was around 5:30 then the 11:55 6.25ft high comes to drown things a bit (still will be fun w/ a higher volume board maybe by the looks of it) followed by a low of -0.19ft at 18:24. If the wind doesn't get too nuts it'll be real fun in the mid-late afternoon.

Small-ish and bumpy this morning. Wind is light offshore but there is some cross surface bump near the point. Waves looking waist to chest high with bigger sets seeming juicy. All sets looking hard to be in position for and waves generally hard to get into with the chop. Nice looking fast left in the middle of the beach with no takers. 6.16ft high tide at 11:23 will wash it out but may be some fun bump in the afternoon heading towards the 1.96ft 17:40 low.

Swell has dropped significantly in both size and period and it's showing in the water. Waves running in the waist to chest high zone with very occasional head high sets. Sunny skies as of 9:00. Wind still light. 6ft high tide @ 11:00 will make things more mushy than they already are (pretty mushy already). Afternoon low of .37ft at 17:15 will hollow things up if there's any juice left. Good day for a fish, hybrid, or longboard, just gotta watch out for sneakers.

WARNING: Fast rising storm swell today; expect waves to be expert only by 15:00

Looking small but it's clear that the NW is here. Buoy is reading intermittent 20 sec period since 22:30 yesterday. Wind is light to non-existent but there is a big bad cloud front on the horizon that'll probably bring some rain and turbulence with it. Waves are waist to chest high now likely going head high to a little overhead by early afternoon then morphing into big angry beast by low tide. Longboards get here NOW, shorboards best between 11-1 and bodysurfing primetime anytime after that. 0.7ft high @ 10:00 then a low of 1.11ft at 16:10.

Socked in this morning. Little to no wind with the fog and some small shore-breaky but handsome looking little long board waves rolling through. Mostly in the thigh to waist high zone with occasional chest high sets likely. High tide of 5.55ft at 9:30 keeping things close to the ground, 1.5ft low at 15:30 brings a little pop back to it if there is any swell left, then high of 5.1ft at 21:00 brings it back to shorebreak.

Where does it come from? I don't know but the buoy's reading an increased avg period and it's showing in the water. We're seeing waist to head high waves running all over the beach this morning under clear skies. The wind is very light and I couldn't gauge it from the lot but looks offshore by the waves. 5.4ft high at 9:00 then a not-so-low of 1.93ft at 14:50 followed by a 5ft night time high @ 20:30. Clear brisk morning with very light cross/offshore breeze that has no idea what it wants to do for the day. Solid NW swell in the water throwing peaks in the waist to head high zone probably going a little overhead or even head and a half on bigger inconsistent sets. Looking a little jumbled but still surprising that there wasn't a soul in the water or the lot this morning. 5ft high tide around now will drop to a roughly 2.5ft low around 13:00 then back up to a ft high @ 18:20. Not looking at too much difference on limited tide swings but sooner is better for wind and chop. Otherwise there's swell all day so grab your favorite duck-divable stick and get out here!

Clear with a light n' steady onshore breeze. waves in the shin to thigh high range with some waist high + sets coming through every so often. No one in the water at 8:30 trying to make it look salvageable. Tide drops to a 2.88ft low at 11:50 which should help the dribble out a little. Avoid the 5.15ft high at 17:10 because the new NW isn't starting to build in until tomorrow.

Consistency looked good for the smaller waves in the 10 minutes I was down there but lots of close outs. 10:30 low of 2.9ft will keep some peaks perky and the 16:10 5.5ft high tide will wash it out a bit but probably let a little more size through.

Brisk morning, light onshore, only two guys on it. Waves mostly waist high with a left off the middle looking chest high. Average period is trending up on the buoy and swell is straight W. Look for the big WNW swell to start showing 'round mid day and to build into some kind of funky monster by this time tomorrow. For cleanliness the 2ft 7:30 low is the best bet. For mid-range/shortboard fun an hour before or after the 6.45ft 13:40 high tide is best. For maximum nug holding out as late as possible is the only way to go. Most waves running thigh to waist high and inconsequential. Sets running chest high with juice but long lulls in between.
