2014.11.30

Swamped this morning in part by the 6.1ft 6:00 high tide and in part by the on and off showers. Wind is medium-light and kind of a SE offshore but feeling a bit cross. Waves are dinker and mostly in the knee to waist high zone and weak enough to only really be worthy of a long board. low of 1.4ft @ 12:24

Light Offshore winds and sunny skies. Waves are pumping in the head high to a couple feet overhead range occasionally hitting head and a half. Plenty of close outs with some really fun looking shoulders holding open. Lots of bump to navigate but overall shapely considering the size. 6.66ft high tide at noon, then low of -1 ft @ 17:45. Coming up on a big 6.5ft high tide at 9:45 this morning. Wind is light offshore and the sun is out and shining. Waves in the waist to chest high zone, hard to get into and all squish with the combo short period and high tide. Best bet is longboarding today but there may be some fun nuggets as the tide drops in the early afternoon for short boards and fishes as well. Low of -0.55ft around 16:20. Small and beautiful today. Waves are a max of waist high but the sun is up and blistering and the wind is medium-heavy OFFSHORE. Long board day for sure. Low tide is 1.23ft @ 14:00. Waves should be improving between now and then, or maybe getting smaller. Hard to say if the low tide will wall em up more or just drain the size out of them. Probably a little bit of both. Waves looking small and squishy right around the waist high zone with light onshore wind but thanks to Proof Lab we're looking at an eventful morning down at Rodeo beach. There's one intrepid looking lad out there trying to catch some waves while the crowd of groms in the parking lot continues to build. The contest is free but if you're not into sharing stoke my guess is that the middle of the beach will stay pretty empty with all the competition action happening on the right side near the rock. Waves are looking pretty long board friendly while anyone wanting to shred a smaller stick would be better off checking OB, Pacifica or the like. 2.2ft low @ 12:30
