2015.2.28

Wind medium onshore. Not much chop in the water yet, but no real breaking waves to speak of ether. Probably thigh to waist high waves when the tide comes down; 0.2ft low around 14:15. Wind to stay steady throughout the day. I heard talk of chance of rain in the mid-late afternoon. More swell to come mid-late work week; keep your eyes looking south.

2015.2.27

Wind medium steady onshore from the NW. Waves in the shin to ankle range and breaking straight onto the ground. Not much more than tiny ultra short period wind swell on tap for today. Beautiful day to be outside, bad day to try to surf here.

2015.2.26

Wind light offshore. Not much to show for waves this morning. Occasional thigh high squishier that looks like a nice long board wave. Swell is dwindling throughout the day but there will probably be some fun little ones right around low for anyone packing a little more volume. Wind to go heave onshore, probably between 11-13:00.

Wind light offshore. Waves in the thigh to waist high zone and at moderate to low consistency. Dropping to a .5ft low around 11:00. Looks fun for a longboard or funboard or fish if you don't mind a bit of a wait.

2015.2.24

No Photos until this afternoon. Expect conditions to have picked up a bit from yesterday with wind coming cross/offshore out of the north but generally light. The bars are shot but there should be something breaking with the low tide and increased swell. low tide of .6ft @ 10:00 is a good time to bring your fish or fun board to get wet.

2015.2.23

Wind blowing pretty heavy offshore from the north this morning. Waves in the thigh to waist high zone and looking kind of inconsistent. Some lines working a little further out for some short rides but sand bars are obviously still way out of shape. 5.1ft high @ 15:10 will have it drowned for a couple hours on ether side but otherwise wind is forecast to stay offshore and looks like an OK day for long board. Decent day for beginners to get out there and paddle around without feeling like the ocean is trying to kill em.

Wind offshore and nothing but dinker-bopper shore break to show for it. Waves in the ankle to shin range and not forecast to get any bigger today. Wind is to pick up and go kind of cross shore but might just be funneled into more offshore. This could make for good fishing conditions off the beach. No real waves to ride here today.

Wind light offshore. Waves are shin high and breaking straight on the ground. There is some small NW wind swell forecast for the late afternoon which could be fun on a funboard longboard or fish a couple hours after the 6.2ft high tide @ 13:00. Otherwise it's a beautiful day so come outside and play.

Low to no wind with the fog this morning. Waves in the thigh to waist high range and almost 100% shore break by the looks of it. Tide tops out at 6.3ft @ 12:10 then comes down to -0.3 @ 18:15. Swell is only getting smaller today. The only breaking waves will be from a tiny secondary SW swell.

Wind light and forecast to go onshore but stay light. Waves in the waist high zone mostly, occasionally going chest high and low consistency. Looking wonky and high tidy. Swell is dropping through the day; should be the most fun in the afternoon between tides. 6.9ft high @ 11:10 followed by a deep -0.7ft low @ 17:30.

Wind light offshore. Surface conditions bumpy. Waves mostly in the waist to chest range but occasionally going upwards of head high on the biggest sets. Consistency is moderate to low. Coming up on a big 7.1ft high @ 10:20 that is already drowning it out followed by a low of -0.9ft @ 16:50 that may or may not get things going nicely. Wind is to turn onshore in the early afternoon and it'll probably be bumpy. Hard to say if an afternoon sesh will be epic, or even worth getting in the water for. Chances are the local wind slop will only intensify.

2015.2.17

AFTERNOON UPDATE: Wind is onshore but light so not much bump in the line up. Nice looking little shin to thigh high lines rolling in this afternoon. Great day for a beginner to get wet or anyone with a log-board to dunk their head. only three guys in the lineup right now. Low tide of -0.88ft @ 16:00 should only make it better so come out and get some!

Couldn't quite rally to get out of bed and take pictures of the inker-dinker shorebreak before work this morning so photos to come in the afternoon. Wouldn't expect it to be much better than yesterday but there is a little baby SW swell building in today that is forecast to peak around 15:00 - 1ft @ 14 sec 215°. Could throw some fun little long board waves if it stays clean/wind stays light. Wind seems to be very light at the moment (8:00) but is forecast to be onshore all day.

Wind offshore at a medium speed. Waves mostly in the chest high zone occasionally going upwards of head high and looking juicy, especially on the bigger sets. Looks significantly closed out with the lack of bars but fun no less for a step up/hybrid/mini gun. You want the kind of board today that you can duck dive, but really get down the line. 0.6ft low tide @ 12:50. Wind forecast to go onshore later in the day.

2015.2.9

Wind is light to non existent due to some heavy funky fog. Waves are in the over head to double overhead plus range today. I swear the wave breaking over by bird rock is a full 15 ft face. Few photos because the same fog that is keeping the wind light and making the waves so beautiful today wouldn't allow my camera to focus zoomed in. Another day where the only place that's really holding out is pacifica.

Rain, lots of rain. Wind is cross but kind of doing an offshore thing for the moment. Waves in the overhead to head and a half range. Looks mostly wonky and closed out but surprisingly some makable shoulders are coming in every so often. Tide is on it's way up to a 4.9ft high @ 13:40. Swell supposed to increase through tomorrow. My guess is with the south wind acting like it is Pacifica is the only place that'll really hold the swell with any grace.

Wind onshore but lighter than anticipated. Waves in the overhead to head and a half range mostly with occasional + sets and some fair lulls as well. Surprisingly open for the conditions present but still advanced/kamikaze level only. Could score a nice shoulder if you waited long enough, got lucky, and don't mind waiting through the turbulence.

No photos until the early afternoon by I'd expect it to look like a 10ft short period washing machine of slop. Big, chunky, gnarly and onshore.

Light and steady onshore breeze this morning. Waves approaching the waist high + zone and looking generally bumpy and weak. Pretty much pure wind swell. Tides won't matter much with this slop but sooner is better than later in terms of wind/cold & not getting broadsided with the new swell building in this afternoon. Could be fun, more likely it'll be sloppy and dangerous.
