AFTERNOON UPDATE:
Still no sign of waves through the afternoon high tide. Chances are looking slim for waves today but there may be some thigh high lines towards the evening low for those willing to bring out a log.

Another flat morning here at rodeo. Looking a little more hopeful than yesterday with some tiny NW windswell ankle biters actually making it through and breaking 10-15 ft from the sand. There is a 1 ft 18 sec SW forecast to show up later this afternoon which could be fun now that the bars are back in place. The 5.8 ft 16:00 high tide might kill it but my guess is there'll be some inconsistent but fun little choppy lines just before sunset. Keep your eyes

Very close to lake-like conditions this morning. 1ft shore break and no surfable waves to speak of. Great day to launch a kayak or canoe from the beach for some fishing or just exploring. Keep tuned for new SW forecast to build in between the 2nd and 3rd later this week.

Just a little dribble of juice this morning. Waves ankle to shin high, knee high on the best sets. Wind light onshore. Grey skies. Low of 2.6ft @ 8:00 then 6ft @ 14:20 and last low of 0.4ft @ 21:00 but none of it matters much with waves so damn small. Good day to go try OB for beginners.

Things are mighty small in the ways of ocean energy present at rodeo this morning. Waves are caping out on the low tide at waist high and squishy, and that's on the better sets. Wind is light onshore. 6ft high tide at 13:40 will have things feeling real shore-breaky. avoid the high by 2-3 hours and there are some fun little waves for beginners to practice pop ups on. 0.4ft low @ 20:05.

Morning of the small sweet shoulder. 1.7ft 6:45 low + lots of new bars brought in from a good stirring of the sand has it all drained out this morning. High tide isn't actually a bad bet today with a higher volume board. Wind is very light onshore. Waves thigh to waist occasionally chest high. Look for things to progressively clean up and get squishier as the tide comes in then do the reverse as the tide goes out again. High tide 6ft @ 13:10 followed by a .5ft low @ 19:25.

AFTERNOON UPDATE
I retract the warning of this morning. Waves never got the extra pop and remain roughly head high through the high tide. Things got a lot cleaner and the wind is still light so come out and get some waves! 0.7ft low tide @ 18:45 will drain some size & add some bump but the juice should still be there.

Lumpy, Grumpy and Dumpy today. Light offshore wind and clear air under partly overcast skies. Low tide drained the size and waves are chest high to ~a little overhead. Expect size to go 1.5 to double that with the coming of the high tide. WARNING don't surf cron today unless you A) like a SERIOUS challenge B) Are a masochist OR C) are frothing for and can handle the rush of both catching and or getting pounded by big surf. It might clean up with the tide getting higher but the way the size will come back it'll just be that much more challenging.

Dinker stuff around 9 when I checked it this morning. Wind is light and cross from the NW. We're looking at the first big NW swell of the season building in over the course of today so cross your fingers folks. Also BE WEARY. Fast rising storm swell + afternoon low tide + no sand covering the reef right now makes for many potentially dangerous situations. Avoid the big 8.5ft 12:10 high tide but be careful of the 0.9ft 18:12 low as the swell may build in quick and what used to be sandy bottoms may be lots o rock at this point. The new swell is supposed to start showing up between noon and 18:00 so keep your eyes on the buoy for a predominant direction of NW and a rising avg period and you'll know this swell is making an appearance.
